My Story

I'm so glad you're here! I'm a family photographer, graphic designer, and calligrapher loving my life in gorgeous Charleston, SC. Born and raised here, I moved back in 2017 after 8 years moving all over the country (including VA, NC, CA, & OH!). I am very excited to get back into shooting regularly and continuing to grow this exciting venture of mine in my favorite city on the planet.

I've been married to my dashing husband, Jordan, since 2009, and we have two precious baby girls. You can see all three loves of my life up above.* Three dogs and two cats also call our home their home, so sometimes it feels like a zoo around here, but we are very grateful for the wondrous life we lead.

While I've been taking photos professionally since 2016, I graduated summa cum laude from Trident Technical College in 2019 with a degree in Commercial Graphics with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a certificate in Digital Photography. I have been dabbling in hand lettering and calligraphy all my life and have been honing that skill over the years. While I think photography and capturing the love of sweet families will always be my main calling, I so enjoy doing graphic design and calligraphy that I can't stay away from offering those services as well. 

I've always taken photos and loved carrying a camera around as a kid, but I really became interested in the craft of photography during one of our brief stints back in Charleston. I enrolled in the Photography program at TTC in 2015 and became enamored with the idea of having a photography business. We ended up moving to the DC area before I could finish school, but I soldiered on and created Jeanne Rodick Photography, LLC in 2016. My business flourished during our time there, and it was very hard to leave it when we moved back to Charleston. In creating things for JRP, I also discovered a love for graphic design, so when I re-enrolled at Trident, I changed my concentration to Graphic Design and began pursuing a Certificate in Digital Photography, as well. Fast forward through graduation and COVID, and here we are!

I am so excited to dive back in with an additional skill set and re-emerge as J Ro Creative Co! Thanks for visiting, and I'll look forward to hearing from you real soon!
